Undoubtedly, society in general, and in particular each of us who are part of it, have contracted a debt with those who bravely, fearfully assuming the risk of more than foreseeable reprisals, dare to denounce the crimes that they know that are produced. The protection of whistleblowers, the guarantee of confidentiality and especially the preservation of anonymity, are effective measures to begin to pay off that debt. The fear of reprisals to which the complainants are exposed could be overcome when anonymity is facilitated, being the anonymous complaint one of the ways that most encourages the complainant to take the step. In this work, we make a defense of anonymous reporting. For this, we will try to compile those aspects developed from different entities. Desde hace mucho, la denuncia ha demostrado ser un instrumento útil para la transparencia, para la lucha contra los delitos, especialmente los referidos a la corrupción y para la autoprotección de los denunciantes. Sin duda alguna, la sociedad en general, y en particular cada uno de los que formamos parte de ella, hemos contraído una deuda con quienes valientemente, asumiendo temerosos el riesgo de las más que previsibles represalias, se atreven a denunciar los ilícitos que conocen. La protección de los denunciantes, la garantía de la confidencialidad y especialmente la preservación del anonimato, constituyen medidas eficaces para empezar a saldar aquella deuda. El miedo a las represalias a las que se ven expuestos los denunciantes podría ser superado cuando se facilita el anonimato, siendo la denuncia anónima una de las vías que más anima al denunciante a dar el paso.
