Summary: Sepsis is the leading cause of death among children worldwide and consumes large amounts of healthcare resources. Currently, sepsis in the pediatric stage can be defined as a serious organ dysfunction, caused as a response to an infection. This organ dysfunction should be assessed using scores such as SOFA adapted for pediatric patients. Since the diagnosis of sepsis therefore depends on clinical and analytical parameters, in practice clinical suspicion of sepsis should be established in all patients with fever and alteration of the pediatric evaluation triangle, especially if the circulatory side or the of appearance
