Furthermore, few studies have addressed this issue from an empirical point of view. This research note describes the municipal representation within the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León. We analyzed the electoral results of all the municipalities of Castilla y León between 1979 and 2019, classifying the political parties according to their territorial scope. With this new approach, we provide data that support the nationalization thesis, observing a clear predominance of state-wide parties, a weak presence of non-state-wide parties and three pikes local-scope parties.El fenómeno de la nacionalización de la política ha contribuido a que los estudios sobre la representación política en el ámbito local no hayan tenido mucho protagonismo dentro de la ciencia política en España. Además, pocos trabajos han abordado esta cuestión desde el punto de vista empírico. Esta nota de investigación describe la representación municipal dentro de la Comunidad Autónoma de Castilla y León. Para ello, se han analizado los resultados electorales de todos los municipios de Castilla y León durante los años 1979 y 2019, clasificando a los partidos políticos según su ámbito de actuación territorial.
