Trauma abdominal cerrado. Manejo inicial en urgencias
Closed abdominal trauma is an injury caused by an external agent that deforms the structures or subjects them to differential decelera-tion, creating compression, elongation or guillotine forces, which can cause visceral damage if they exceed the tolerance threshold of the organs. The methodology us...

Closed abdominal trauma is an injury caused by an external agent that deforms the structures or subjects them to differential decelera-tion, creating compression, elongation or guillotine forces, which can cause visceral damage if they exceed the tolerance threshold of the organs. The methodology used for this research work is framed within a bibliographic review of documentary type, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as closed abdominal trauma. Initial emergency management. Risks and benefits. The technique for data collection is made up of electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, among others, relying on the use of descriptors in health sciences or MESH terminology. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. The initial management or approach in an emergency room will depend on whether the patient is hemodynamically stable or unstable, in this context the circumstances in which the injury was suffered, that is, where and what caused the trauma, are fundamental. since it gives indications to emergency doctors what decisions to make regarding the tests to be carried out. However, what is suggested and indicated by the literature is the evaluation of vital signs, since these help to establish a diagnosis and make clinical decisions.
