Summary: Objective: The burnout syndrome is a condition that specifically affects occupations that deal directly with the population. Therefore, the objective of this study was to analyze the degree of burnout syndrome, work enthusiasm, and life satisfaction in a sample of Mexican police officers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Materials and methods: A non-experimental, cross-sectional study was carried out, with exploratory, descriptive and correlational scopes; 26 police officers from the state of Puebla (Mexico) participated. The Maslach Burnout InventoryGeneral Survey, Utrecht Work Engagement Scale and the Satisfaction with Life Scale were used. Results: A low prevalence of burnout and a high prevalence of work enthusiasm and life satisfaction in the sample stand out. Conclusions: Despite the conditions derived from the pandemic, officials showed low levels of burnout and high levels of enthusiasm for work and satisfaction with life
