Sumario: The present investigation raises what is the behavior of certain generations Y & Z in the use of digital media, and how this influences the new generations to come. For this reason, this research work will have a close interaction with the target population of our research, such as the students of the University of Guayaquil from the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, with the aim of analyzing their behavior when using digital media. In an increasingly sophisticated world, in the midst of a process of change, generational differences are becoming blurred and are no longer determined as much by age as by socioeconomic and geographic factors, as well as by the incorporation and use of technology. And in this sense, it can be explained that, in some cases, those considered digital immigrants (those born in the 60s and 70s) can share technological habits that bring them closer to later generations, coming to identify better than with people of the same age. age. Despite the difficulties in establishing clear lines or borders that allow us to differentiate behaviors or habits that, based on age, really constitute a generation, it is inevitable to try to carry out a minimum segmentation. Within this bibliographical study, we will use the qualitative, exploratory and quantitative methodology for the collection of information through surveys.
