description
Leukemia is a disease that we commonly know as a blood cancer, that is to say that when immature blood cells, blasts proliferate abnormally, and reproduce in an uncontrolled way in the bone marrow, which is a sector of the body that It is in the middle of all the bones in our body and they manage to replace normal cells. This generates the disease and allows it to affect the blood and different tissues. The methodology used for this research work is focused on a methodology oriented towards the need to investigate a situation precisely and coherently. Framed within a bibliographic review of a documentary type, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as surgical processes and care of a bone marrow transplant in infants. The technique for data collection is made up of printed, audiovisual and electronic materi-als, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, among others. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. Both the surgical processes and post-transplant care, such as treatment for blood cancer in general, or leukemia depending on its variants, are the same, a central line is taken and the hematopoietic cells, autologous bone marrow from an external donor that can be familiar or not, among others. They are introduced into the patient as if a blood transfusion was being made, many who at first glance do not have medical knowledge will be able to say that they are very easy tech-niques, but are not aware of the medical background that must be climbed to be able to reach that point. point. Regarding post-transplant care, based on Virginia Henderson's needs, these can be divided between medical care as such and facing the challenges that arise and the emotional aspect of the patient that is also of great help for their process. recovery.
