description
Tuberculosis (TB) corresponds to the second cause of death from an infectious disease in the world, after the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and continues to be a problem of great magnitude on a global scale, tuberculosis represents a public health problem Since despite the strategies that are carried out in coordination with international, national, state and local instances, cases are increasing, affect-ing risk groups among which are cases with treatment failure that were diagnosed and treated in private sector, relapse and readmission due to abandonment, treatment failure, among others. The methodology used for this research work is focused on a methodology oriented towards the need to investigate a situation precisely and coherently. Framed within a bibliographic review of a documentary type, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as Risks and consequences of patients diagnosed with pulmonary tuber-culosis. The technique for data collection is made up of printed, audiovisual and electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, among others. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. Although the risk factors mentioned here can be believed to be associated only with people who have the probability of contracting tuberculosis for the first time, this is not the case, since, if these are maintained, the probabilities that a patient who already had tuberculosis relapse, they are high, because of this suffering from the same conditions that made him sick the first time. However, in the reviewed literature, in most studies they focus on relapses, when people have already had some treatment, based on them, it is indicated that the highest rates of relapse that can occur are those associated with Abandonment of treatment, in this particular it must be inferred that treatment is expensive and if we associate this factor with poverty conditions, which constitute one of the highest incidences of contracting tuberculosis, then the probability of relapse and consequently death will be higher . Understanding that poverty includes food, education, access to the health system, housing conditions, among others).
