Summary: Since the 2000’s, the Black community has been included in certain public policies which aim to reduce their social and economic inequalities in relation to white people. Likewise, with the law of Affirmative Action, number 12.711/12, we can see a growth in black people attending universities. However, despite the increase in Black people with excellent professional qualification, this is still not enough to make a change in the social structure, mostly regrarding representation in Brazilian politics.
