Summary: The objective of the research was to evaluate the social impacts generated by the creation of the Angostura Faical ACR in its populated centers, during the period 2010-2015. The type of research was descriptive, with a non-experimental and retrospective design, and for data collection, an observation guide was used and, secondly, a questionnaire addressed to the inhabitants of the area of influence between the districts of Matapalo, Pampas de Hospital, and San Juan de la Virgen from the Department of Tumbes. The results on the evaluation of social impacts show that during the study period, a total positive impact of 6.7% was obtained, with an absolute frequency of 852 participations; a normal or indifferent impact of 18.9% with 2403 participations due to the existence of the communal organization, since with its intervention training, par-ticipation of the population in sustainable activities was achieved; and a negative impact of 74.4% with 9457 participations, that is to say that the social impacts were negative, evidencing the limited participation of the authority in the development of the populated centers of the area of influence
