This article aims to highlight the importance of the neutrality of the arbitrator, the integrity of the arbitration and the reputation of this procedureUna de las principales reglas del arbitraje es que el órgano arbitral debe ser independiente, imparcial, neutral y diligente en sus actuaciones durante todo el procedimiento arbitral. Ahora bien, la sofisticación y complejidad del arbitraje como procedimiento de resolución extrajudicial de controversias puede minar la confianza en la eficiencia del sistema. En este sentido, reviste una trascendental importancia la ética profesional (arbitral) y la honorabilidad del árbitro.
