Then analyze what are the criteria that allow us to affirm that we are in the presence of a true territorial representation. And all this thinking about the idea of converting the Spanish Senate is what has been called an “authentic territorial representation chamber”, a true myth in reality.Tras analizar as dúas formas históricas baixo as que aparece o Senado (o británico e o nortea-mericano), o traballo estuda a natureza dos senados federais existentes en Europa e en América. Sobre a base dese estudo, o traballo trata de responder a pregunta de se a representación que articulan eses senadores federais ten ou non natureza territorial. Analiza despois cales son os criterios que permiten afirmar que estamos en presenza dunha verdadeira representación territorial. E todo iso pensando na idea de converter o Senado español no que se chamou unha “auténtica cámara de representación territorial”, un verdadeiro mito en realidade.Tras analizar las dos formas históricas bajo las que aparece el Senado (el británico y el nortea-mericano), el trabajo estudia la naturaleza de los senados federales existentes en Europa y en América. Sobre la base de ese estudio, el trabajo trata de responder la pregunta de si la representación que arti-culan esos senadores federales tiene o no naturaleza territorial. Analiza después cuáles son los criterios que permiten afirmar que estamos en presencia de una verdadera representación territorial.
