Summary: Socio-environmental conflicts represent a problematic panorama in the Colombian context from different scenarios associated with damage and degradation of the environment, violation of rights, legality of the norm and the role of the State. These conflicts expose cultural, perceptual, physical, immaterial and territorial dynamics of environmental interest and in turn show and question the role of law in the regulatory function on the scenarios that make up the socio-environmental conflict. This role of law is analyzed in this article from the origin of the conflict for legal causes associated with the granting of environmental licenses as planning instruments for natural resources and emerging meanings related to access to justice are presented.
