On this regard, first I will explore the notion of Postmodernity —as criticism of Modernity — base on Vattimo and Lyotard. Then I will address Law´s Constitutionalization as a phenomenon. Then, it would be explained the Constitutionalization of Colombian Electoral Law, especially since the 1991 Constitution, remarking its postmodern elements.Dos fenómenos han afectado notablemente a la forma y contenido del derecho, a saber: el posmodernismo y la constitucionalización del derecho. Estos surgieron prácticamente de forma simultánea y ejercen una importante incidencia en la conformación de las normas estatales y paraestatales en Occidente. Así pues, este artículo pretende focalizarse en la influencia de aquellas vertientes en la conformación del derecho electoral colombiano tal como se conoce hoy en día. Para ello se hará un acercamiento al concepto de posmodernidad como crítica a la modernidad siguiendo a Vattimo y Lyotard, dos de sus principales exponentes, a la vez que se analizará el fenómeno de la constitucionalización del derecho.
