Summary: The purpose of this text is to analyze the different positions for and against the privatization of space activities in order to emphasize the failure of the application of intellectual property rules in the remote sensing data, all this, because that legal framework wasn't designed to regulate this kind of activity at the rate of the territorial factor. On the other hand, it will be explain the need to complement the Resolution 41/65 about the principles relating to remote sensing of the Earth from space, with specific rules for the protection of intellectual property rights that are base on one of the three principles of Outer Space Law, the international cooperation.
