Summary: This paper studies the connection between fairy tales and the legal discourse, between the law and theater. As a case study, the analysis is based on The Tale of Tales, by Giambattista Basile, a traditional example of Italian literature, and the short story Le tre corone, which has legal and political elements. The idea is that fables are narratological devices that put together values and archetypes from the collective unconsciousness of certain communities, placed in space and time. Due to that, they are very important in order to understand the literary culture of the Law.
