Summary: The main goal of this article is to understand what kind of knowledge allows us to find and solve problems or questions in research, advancing a hypothesis, with special reference to the field of scientific-legal knowledge. It is, in short, to participate in the dynamic and collective construction of strategies or heuristics for the proposal of research problems and hypotheses in the field of theoretical knowledge such as science. Special attention should be paid to the peculiarities within legal Science or Jurisprudence. In pursuit of this objective, we will take into account and analyse the differences between problems to find and problems to prove, well and ill structured problems, and between kinds of knowledge to solve them: heuristic and standard or logic reasoning. The work will also explore and underline courses of action that have been traditionally recommended to find and solve problems and how they function in legal knowledge or Jurisprudence.
