The purpose of this article is to examine, analyze and study two figures that, although sharing similar realities, should be differentiated in order to avoid tensions or conflicts arising from the protection of renewable natural resources and the development of mining activities. On the one hand, the current analysis of the areas excluded from mining will be presented, and on the other, the reserves of renewable natural resources or temporary reserves will be explained to explain the confusion between these two figures. The aim pursued, however, is to show the potential of temporary reserves for other sectors and the benefits that can be understood in relation to the comprehensive management of the territory. |
