Any consumer can be, or become, vulnerable due to of biological factors or by experimenting certain changes as a result
of exogenous factors that place them in a disadvantaged position within their interactions with the market. One of these
special conditions is food intake, hence the need for special protection. That being said, this article proposes a juridical
analysis to determine legal devises that allow the categorization of vulnerable consumers in the food sector, using as a
methodological resource a comparative analysis law, specifically regarding the concepts of vulnerable consumers and average member of a vulnerable group of consumers in the European Union regulations. |
