Moreover, the main monitoring instrument, the landscape authorization, is studied. Previously, competence and institutional framework is considered. From all this, a number of conclusions are drawn including proposals to enhance the Spanish model of landscape protection.Este artículo estudia la legislación paisajística en Italia y sus instrumentos de tutela y puesta en valor. Se analizan los procedimientos de individualización de los bienes paisajísticos, la regulación de las medidas de protección y usos compatibles a través de la planificación paisajística conjunta, así como la relación de estos planes con el resto de planificación de alcance territorial. Se evalúa también el principal instrumento de supervisión, como es la autorización paisajística. Previamente, se desarrolla el encuadre competencial.
