Summary: The European single market is an ambivalent focus of economic and social progress as well as conflicts that derive, in particular, from the determination of the applicable rules when they cross the borders of a Member State. Such disputes arise frequently in the field of free movement of workers, which creates the need for communication and coordination between Member States institutions and the Union itself. In this context, the European Labor Authority has been created, whose functions include those of guaranteeing the fluidity of cross-border labor relations by establishing guidelines for the coordination of safety and social systems and establishing reciprocal information channels to prevent fraud and abuse of law to provide legal security for both companies and workers themselves and their families
