This paper aims to determine whether the new Regulation actually explores the new opportunities laid down in arts. 85 and 86 TFEU through the analysis of three different issues: the objectives and competence of Eurojust, the functions of the College and the nature of the relationship between the Agency and the forthcoming EPPO.Tras años de espera, en noviembre de 2018 el colegislador europeo ha aprobado finalmente el nuevo Reglamento (UE) 2018/1727 sobre la Agencia de la Unión Europea para la Cooperación Judicial Penal (Eurojust). Esta normativa europea, que será aplicable a partir de diciembre de 2019, sustituirá a la actual Decisión 2002/187/JAI del Consejo, y adaptará a la Agencia al nuevo derecho originario aplicable tras las modificaciones del Tratado de Lisboa.
