Summary: |
Antanas Mockus poses a possible link between
education, art and politics, due to the actions he
carried out during his two administrations in the
Mayor of Bogota during 1995-1997 and 2001–
2003. These actions arose from strategies
associated with artistic practices and were
intended to generate social change. Mockus
structures the concept of citizen culture based
on three regulatory systems: law, culture and
morality. He argues that since the political
exercise it is possible to generate cultural
transformations that inhibit "divorce" between
such regulatory systems, reducing harmful
practices such as violence and corruption. |
