These shows are targeted for an audience under the age of 18 and the characters depicted are apparently innocuous, but in most of the times their behavior is controversial, inappropriate or even antisocial. Being continuously exposed to such behavior could negatively influence on the audience's personality development; this argument is supported with examples and a discursive logic that proposes key questions, looking to arise the public opinion with a critic focus. The main objective is to protect the emotional intelligence and assertiveness of the children, keeping them from situations in which they could otherwise be easily targeted.O artigo discute a violência audiovisual em programas de televisão, a maioria deles destinados a pessoas com menos de dezoito anos de idade, cujos personagens aparentemente inocentes se envolvem em comportamentos controversos e, em particular alguns casos, antissocial, que podem afetar o desenvolvimento livre da personalidade. Argumentação que é feita por exemplos e em uma lógica discursiva que levanta questões-chave, buscando despertar o interesse crítico da opinião pública. O objetivo é promover a proteção integral das crianças, sua inteligência e sua assertividade, longe de situações de insegurança a partir das quais podem ser submetidas.En el artículo se analiza la violencia audiovisual en programas televisivos, la mayor parte dirigidos a población menor de dieciocho años, cuyos personajes aparentemente inocentes realizan conductas controversiales y, en algunos casos, antisociales, las cuales pueden afectar el libre desarrollo de la personalidad. Argumentación que se hace mediante ejemplos y en una lógica discursiva que plantea interrogantes clave, buscando despertar el interés crítico de la opinión pública.
