We start from an afrocentric perspective, in view of the reallocation of the black voices of the margins to the discursive domain of the juridical. Looking at the law as a metaphor, we propose a taking of the word by black men and women in order to establish a protagonism in the process of producing the norm, starting with theory. The genealogy of the subjectivity of the "minor", the guardianship equipment and the birth of a dogmatic one to treat children and adolescents in Brazilian public law reminds us of a past of sanitizing cities and politics of whitening. After all, does the minority metaphor in law have color?O artigo aborda o dispositivo da menoridade no direito brasileiro, sua problemática nascida no campo penal e a criação de um campo específico de saber-poder para regular corpos de crianças e adolescentes num contexto de elaboração do projeto republicano. Partimos de uma perspectiva afrocentrada, tendo em vista a realocação das vozes negras das margens para o domínio discursivo do jurídico. Enxergando o direito como metáfora, propomos uma tomada da palavra por negros e negras com o fim de estabelecer um protagonismo no processo de produção da norma, a começar pela teoria. A genealogia da subjetividade do “menor”, dos equipamentos de tutela e do nascimento de uma dogmática própria para tratar crianças e adolescentes no direito público brasileiro nos remete a um passado de higienização das cidades e política de embranquecimento.
