The study methodology comprise a documentary research assumed under a bibliographic design; furthermore, the content analysis technique is applied to understand the reality of study from education as a process of changes in the biopsychosocial-spiritual and ecological human being. It is concluded that the notions of power, education, citizenship and democracy, are central axes of training in being, reflected in each action of their daily lives.Recibido: 17 de febrero del 2019Aprobado: 29 de abril del 2019El presente artículo de revisión plantea al fenómeno educativo como eje fundamental de formación ciudadana y cambios sociales dentro de procesos democráticos, teniendo como eje de acción medular al ser desde el ser. Por lo tanto, tiene como objetivo general comprender la educación desde los fundamentos del equilibrio del poder para el desarrollo de la ciudadanía y democracia. Desde la metodología se asumió un tipo de investigación documental bajo un diseño bibliográfico, utilizándose la técnica de análisis de contenido para comprender la realidad de estudio desde la educación como proceso de cambios en el ser biopsicosocial-espiritual y ecológico.
