Summary: At present, through the internet, a series of contents that are aimed at training can be disseminated, either closed or open. This produces a digitization of teaching, with the aim of increasing accessibility, regardless of the geographical location in which they are located. These contents are available permanently and the student can access them at the time he deems most appropriate, within the timing of the activity. One of the great possibilities is through specific platforms, in which to disseminate all the necessary information of a course including audiovisual files. This situation raises two questions, on the one hand, the creativity necessary to produce video files; and on the other hand, the copyright that can be generated. Our objective is to analyze the specific characteristics of MOOCS, and the files that compose them, especially video ones, and if the type of copyright it generates, whether from the teacher or from third parties, is currently sufficiently regulated, taking into account the scope of application of Spanish Law and the future regulations of the European Union.
