Country where a solid and innovative methodology has been used to supervise the quality of this service, which also serves for the training of bidders, who are responsible for collaboratively managing legal disputes regarding family matters. For the purposes of designing this methodology, a type of research called Experimental Development has been used, which consists of taking advantage of the knowledge obtained from research and practical experience to start up new processes or systems for the substantial improvement of existing services. The use of this system has allowed progress in the process of continuous improvement of the quality of family mediation tendered in our country, which is relevant for access to justice in matters of family law and is also notable for constituting an example at the Ibero-American level of the use of a standardized and validated system for monitoring the quality of mediation, applied throughout the country.El presente artículo trata del estado y los avances que ha experimentado la calidad de la mediación familiar en Chile. País donde se ha implementado una sólida e innovadora metodología para la supervisión de la calidad de este servicio, que sirve además para la formación de los mediadores licitados, que son los encargados de gestionar colaborativamente los conflictos jurídicos en materia de familia. Para efectos de diseñar esta metodología se ha usado un tipo de investigación denominada de desarrollo experimental, que consiste en aprovechar los conocimientos obtenidos de la investigación y la experiencia práctica para poner en marcha nuevos procesos o sistemas para la mejora sustancial de los servicios existentes.
