Human tragedies of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo are still devastating despite of developed iniatives about truth, justice and reparation. Dialogue processes and universal jurisdiction initiatives inspired by international civil society depict a window of hope. National and international impacts of the Rwanda-DR Congo case judicial process, as the effects of the cancellation of universal jurisdiction in Spain, after ten years of open judicial inquiry, are presented to invite to a critical reflection.En el veinte aniversario de las masacres de Srebenica (República Sprska) y Kibeho (República de Rwanda), producidas ambas ante cascos azules de la ONU, es oportuno hacer una aproximación marco a mecanismos jurisdiccionales y no jurisdiccionales de justicia transicional orientados a enfrentar abusos de derechos humanos del pasado. Las tragedias humanas de Ruanda y la República Democrática del Congo siguen siendo devastadoras aun a pesar de las iniciativas de verdad, justicia y reparación desarrolladas. Los procesos de diálogo y las iniciativas de justicia universal impulsadas por la sociedad civil internacional representan una ventana de esperanza.
