Psychological measures in the Agency to prevent suicide based by the data provided maybe, are not enough as they are issued with an inappropriate lack of scientific rigour. Finally, there are proposed data about suicide causes and possible measures to intervene.Este trabajo pretende explicar la relación existente entre la estructura de la Guardia Civil (GC) con las estructuras generales definidas por el concepto de Institución total aportado por Goffman, y cómo estas han podido generar procesos nocivos de relación interpersonal e intrapesonal, con consecuencias graves en la salud mental de sus componentes, pudiendo, incluso, acabar en suicidio. En el trabajo se realiza una descripción de ciertas características del funcionamiento interno de la GC y cómo han influido en la vida privada de los guardias civiles. Se facilita información sobre los mecanismos de prevención en materia psicológica que dispone la GC y de los motivos de la falta de eficacia a la hora realizar la intervención preventiva/ paliativa ante los suicidios. Se analizan los datos facilitados dando como resultado su falta de rigor técnico.
