In those cases offender`s criminological profiling could be an answer to fill the gaps and generate hypothesis. Understanding of those assaulters and their psychological and demographical characteristics, helps to create those hypothesiso more deep research in those offences, is needed to deal with guarantees in the problem.Las agresiones sexuales cometidas por desconocidos son delitos violentos, habitualmente de carácter oportunista, que generan temor, ansiedad y sentimientos de falta de protección en el cuerpo social. Detener a estos agresores es una de las tareas prioritarias de las Fuerzas y Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado. Tarea que se hace más difícil en los casos en que no se dispone de evidencias físicas y testimoniales, como muestras de ADN del agresor, imágenes de cámaras de seguridad, u otros testigos. Sin embargo, en esos casos, a partir de la perfilación criminológica (PC) del tipo de agresor, se pueden generar hipótesis que faciliten la identificación del mismo. Comprender qué clase de personas cometen este tipo de delitos, y sus características psicológicas y demográficas, ayuda a crear tales hipótesis.
