Summary: The study of risk factors in different areas of adolescent development allows us to identify, assess and attend the causes of violence for its consequent intervention. With the intention of abounding in the prediction of the behavior by recognizing the risk of violence, the Scale Violence Risk Assessment in Adolescents (SVRAA) was elaborated. The objective is to determine the psychometric characteristics of the SVRAA test, which establishes a tool for measuring violent behavior that is useful in different contexts where there are criminological implications. There was the participation of 565 adolescents from three different cities of the state of Guanajuato. Through the discrimination analysis obtaining as a result the scale composed by 25 items, with Alpha of Cronbach α = .836, which is grouped into six factors that make reference to a negative self-concept, proactive or instrumental violence, lack of self-control, reactive violence, verbal violence and traits of self-harm.
