In this sense, this paper focuses on the challenges faced by the State to implement the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disability, being this the legal instrument incorporating in the judicial field the greatest paradigm in the history of disabilityTeniendo en cuenta que el Estado colombiano ratificó la Convención sobre los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad (Ley 1346 de 2009) con Sentencia de Constitucionalidad (C-293 de 2010), se hace necesario estudiar los logros y retos de este instrumento internacional, después de 6 años de su entrada en vigencia en el país.
