Summary: Although this essay takes groups and contemporary urban subjectivities in São Paulo as its object of analysis, the author extends its findings to today’s metropoli.Metropolis produce an endless communication flow, and reproduce the fragmentation model, they juxtapose two contemporary scenarios: a psychological and a communicative one. This is an analysis of new social spaces, forms of socialization, hybridations, mixing and recycling of collectivities, their signs and languages.
