Summary: Through this writing, it is intended to publicize the legal regime that covers culturalassets of national scope, starting from a thorough and descriptive analysis thatallows the reader to know in detail about the legal framework, its applicability, thesanctions coming for the one who infringes said regime, together with the subjectson which the infraction can fall; complying with the objectives of this article, whichare to know their regulations, analyze the strengths of the legal regime, diagnosepossible obstacles that arise in the practical life when applying the aforementionedregime and establish proposals for improvement to the legal regime to propenderfor the historical values of the Assets of Cultural Interest of the National scopeand its safeguard and protection. In turn, it responds to the legal problem posedwhich is to determine the strengths and obstacles of the legal regime that protectscultural assets of national scope, thus explaining the nature and scope of the AdministrativeSanctions Procedures that shelter them, the which are anticipated asa result of the infractions to the aforementioned regime. The methodology usedwas qualitative, since the research of the article was based on a subjective analysisproduct of data collection, practical experiences and cases that have been processedby the Ministry of Culture¸ on which a descriptive method was established, thusachieving evidence of the strengths and obstacles of the legal regime being possibleto propose proposals for citizens to have more sense of belonging, and helpsafeguard and protect cultural assets.
