This is an exploratory, cross-sectional, empirical study based on the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data extracted from legal proceedings filed from 2011 to 2013. It adopts a specific methodology for analyzing and monitoring drug lawsuits. The Excel program was used to standardize each of the variables, starting from the data obtained directly from the processes, which were analyzed one by one. It was observed that in relation to legal representation, 44.3% of the cases were initiated by the State Prosecution. We observe balance between, anticipation of tutelage and injuctions, if more discreetly representative for the first approximately 51,8% of the processes. It was concluded that the results found here serve, although not the one, to assist in the evaluation of the current state of public health policies in the State of Pará, and may subsidize the updating and reformulation of public health policies and health care management.Analisar os mecanismos processuais utilizados nas demandas judiciais adotadas para acesso a medicamentos em face do Estado do Pará (SESPA). Trata-se de estudo empírico exploratório, de corte transversal, baseado na análise de dados qualitativos e quantitativos extraídos das demandas judiciais protocoladas entre 2011 e 2013. Adota metodologia específica para análise e monitoramento das demandas judiciais de medicamentos. O programa Excel foi utilizado para padronizar cada uma das variáveis, partindo dos dados obtidos diretamente dos processos, os quais foram analisados um a um. Observou-se então que em relação à representação jurídica, 44,3% dos processos foram iniciados pelo Ministério Público Estadual. Aferiu-se certo equilíbrio entre a concessão de antecipação de tutela e liminares, sendo a primeira discretamente mais representativa, cerca de 51,8% dos casos.
