Summary: Access to technology can be demonstrated as an important tool for technological catching up and reducing the existing gap between the developed and developing countries (Sampath; ROFFE, 2012). Thus, one has to wonder also if access to imported technologies through Technology Transfer Agreements annotated with the INPI allow an accumulation of knowledge by national companies, allowing the implementation of innovations in products and processes. Seeking to contribute to this complex discussion, this study aims to verify the relevance attributed to the acquisition of knowledge by the conclusion of Technology Transfer Agreements for innovation among the companies in the sample Innovation Research (PINTEC).
