Summary: The conflict and the mediation in a conceptual way have created an interdisciplinary field in which you can find a wide variety of analysis of different authors. This paper aims to review the conflict concepts and the mediation, specifically as a resolution method. We review both issues from a theoretical analysis, developed especially by Josep Redorta for conflicts and Christopher Moore for the mediation of allowing to limit concepts that represent great importance to our society. This review allows, one hand, to explore the structure, the cycle and the typology of conflicts and the other, to set out the different ways to find conflict resolution and the description of the steps needed to achieve mediation.
