The study is approached through the causes that give rise to this type of situation, valuing the effects of the incidents that may occur along the life of the benefit. Thus, the causes related to the holder or beneficiary of the benefit and those of economic or labor order are examined. Also, the compatibility rules that operate for this type of benefits are analyzed, as well as the mechanisms provided by the different Communities for the case of reimbursement of the amounts unduly received by the beneficiary. All this through a comparative analysis between the different Autonomous Communities, which reveals the possible dysfunctions and differences in treatmentEn este trabajo se examina el régimen jurídico de las distintas prestaciones económicas de garantía de rentas de subsistencia previstas en las Comunidades Autónomas, esencialmente en lo referido la modificación, suspensión y extinción de las mismas. El estudio se aborda a través de las causas que dan lugar a este tipo de situaciones, valorando los efectos que tienen las incidencias que pueden presentarse a lo largo de la vida de la prestación. Se examinan, así, las causas relacionadas con el titular o beneficiario de la prestación y aquéllas de orden económico o laboral. De igual modo, se analizan las reglas de compatibilidad que operan para este tipo de prestaciones así como los mecanismos previstos por las distintas Comunidades para el supuesto de reintegro de las cantidades indebidamente percibidas por el beneficiario.
