Summary: The development of organic agriculture in Latin America has been generated from diverse motivations, among which the main one is the search for wellbeing for the agricultural producers of the Latin countries. Therefore, it is proposed to deal with this issue not as an exclusively economic isolated agricultural or commercial practice. This reflection aims to demonstrate that the practices of organic agriculture in Latin American countries including Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Colombia, Argentina, Nicaragua, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, are immersed in a context that involves social, political factors, economic, environmental and cultural. Identifying as a key element the organizational processes through which each unit of socialization and interaction fulfills functions, and determining roles that need to be identified in order to be integrated.
