Summary: Immunity can be configured as a mechanism to protect constitutional rights and guarantees that have been or may be violated by acts of authority. In this sense, immunity is regulated by the Nicaraguan Constitution in a very broad perspective, but with limited by the established law. This kind of contradiction prompts us to review the stablished historical approach to Nicaraguan protection, then an analysis on how is legally carried out, with the purpose of lege ferenda that can inside on the new Constitutional Justice Law that is about to be approved.
