Also, taking into consideration the International Convention on the Rights of Migrant Workers and their Families and the work of the Special Rapporteur on the human rights of migrants, the ultimate goal of this paper is to identify the vulnerabilities affecting the migrant population, especially women and children, and the challenges for a global governance in this area.El presente artículo tiene por objetivo problematizar el fenómeno de la migración y las categorías de migrantes como concepto jurídico y social, a la luz del derecho internacional de los derechos humanos, haciendo énfasis en los avances y los retospendientes.
