Summary: This article focuses on the study of trade in services, which has been triggered at world level by the economic globalization and by the technological advances initiated by the technology investment of transnational entrepreneurship. The General Agreement on Trade of Services (GATS) is the first multilateral trade agreement that covers trade in services, and without doubt, it is a great pillar of international exchanges that take place at a global scale, after merchandise trade. Its development was one of the main achievements of the trade negotiations of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), which took place in Uruguay from 1986 to 1993, The main objectives were: 1) The creation of a credible and reliable system of international trade rules. 2) The stimulation of economic activity through guaranteed consolidations. 3) The guarantee of fair and equitable treatment of all participants and 4) The development and promotion of trade through progressive liberalization.
