Summary: This article makes a reading of the first works of the current Bolivian Vice President, Álvaro García Linera. The attention is placed on three key points in the work of the author studied, highlighting the most productive elements of each of them. The first is a critique of a Marxism centered on a philosophy of history as an ascending and continuous development; the second is the interpretation that is made of Marx on the critique of political economy; finally we make a relation between the value form and what we call the "political form".
