We are before a cause of termination of contracts as stated in Article 209 of the new law that considers as such, compliance and termination of the contract. The main purpose of this commentary is to offer an overview of these reforms as well as their comparison with the legal situation prior to the appearance of the new law on public sector contracts. All this in order that the reader approaches the understanding of the most interesting aspects of the new regulation, whose main purpose is the transposition of community directives to the Spanish legal system.Dentro de las distintas modificaciones establecidas en el marco de la contratación del sector público e incorporadas a nuestro derecho a través de la Ley 9/2017, de 8 de noviembre, nos encontramos con las reformas operadas en la materia de la resolución de los contratos, alguna de las cuales tiene extraordinaria importancia. Estamos ante una causa de extinción de los contratos como así se señala en el artículo 209 de la Ley que considera como tales, el cumplimiento y la resolución del contrato. El presente comentario tiene como finalidad fundamental ofrecer una visión general de estas reformas, y la comparación con la situación legal previa a la aparición de la nueva Ley de Contratos del Sector Público.
