Summary: In this work is analyzed the Radiological Protection in Venezuela since it's beginning in the fifties to present time. From 1986 on, there have been a lot success as the existence of a significantly better legal platform, just as the determination of the Competent Authority. By means of the results of the personal dosimetry, it's analized the influence of the training in Radiological Protection on positive behavior, measured through the decrease of the dose of radiation. It's emphasized the program of training and certification that was started in the industrial sector, in 1992, as the one with the greatest impact in the history of the Radiological Protection in all the nation. In spite of the excellent legal platform, which we count on at this moment about Radiological Protection and the unequivocal existence of the competent authority, it persist a deficiency in the control, inspection and vigilance of the use of the sources of ionizing radiation.
