Strategies are suggested for enhancement of Lacan’s contribution to political theory.Se hace una lectura de un texto de Yannis Stavrakakis, «La izquierda lacaniana », que comprende el estudio de miembros de esa corriente de pensamiento y en donde se expone la propia postura del autor. Se analiza la pertinencia de lo lacaniano en dicho texto, infiriendo desde allí su validación epistemológica y se revisa la consistencia y vigencia de las categorías de izquierda y derecha como constructos.
