The present investigation had as objective to establish the formation necessities in Occupational Health, in students of the school of Bioanálisis. University of Carabobo. I study descriptive, it was carried out a diagnosis of necessities based on consulted bibliography, guidelines of the World Organization of the Health, Pan-American Organization of the Health, International Organization of the Work, the author's professional activity, Normative Legal effective in the country and questionnaire that it was applied 162 students of the School of Bioanálisis. (the population's 30% under study). It was used the analysis of frequencies and the percentage relationship of data, being that 53% of those interviewed doesn't know the aspects of Occupational Health sufficiently, 90.13% ignores the Norms COVENIN, they are considered exposed to Chemical risks (47.4%), to Biological (32.8%) and Physical (20.1%). 80% doesn't use
breathers. 40.74% of the laboratories, they don't have norms, procedures and manuals of security. 93.21% manifested the necessity of a program or subject of Occupational Health, with topics of security, chemical toxics, risks, emergency plans, norms and laws that it allows them to have a clear knowledge about the risks to that they can be exposed and as preventing them. The students consider that the aspects of Occupational Health have not been it sufficiently approached by the different matters of the career of Bioanálisis. The limited knowledge were evidenced that the students of Bioanálisis possess regarding the Occupational Health. The design of a program is recommended for such an end.

The design of a program is recommended for such an end.La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo establecer la necesidad de formación en Salud Ocupacional, en estudiantes de la escuela de Bioanálisis de la Universidad de Carabobo. Estudio descriptivo, en base a bibliografía consultada, directrices de la Organización Mundial de la Salud, Organización Panamericana de la Salud, Organización Internacional del Trabajo, la actividad profesional de la autora, Normativa Legal vigente en el país y cuestionario que se aplicó a 162 estudiantes de la Escuela de Bioanálisis. (30 % de la población bajo estudio). Se utilizó el análisis de frecuencias y la relación porcentual de datos, encontrándose que el 53% de los encuestados no conoce suficientemente los aspectos de Salud Ocupacional, el 90.13% desconoce las Normas COVENIN, se consideran expuestos a riesgos Químicos (47.4%), a Biológicos (32.8%) y Físicos (20.1%). EL 80% no utiliza protección respiratoria. El 40.74 % de los laboratorios, no cuentan con normas, procedimientos y manuales de seguridad. El 93.21 % manifestó la necesidad de un programa o asignatura de Salud Ocupacional, con temas de seguridad, tóxicos químicos, riesgos, planes de emergencia, normas y leyes, que les permita tener un conocimiento claro sobre los factores de riesgos a que pueden estar expuestos y como prevenirlos. Los estudiantes consideran que los aspectos de Salud Ocupacional no han sido lo suficientemente abordados por las diferentes asignaturas de la carrera de Bioanálisis. Se evidenciaron los limitados conocimientos que poseen los estudiantes de Bioanálisis respecto a la Salud Ocupacional.
