Summary: From February the 1st of 2013 to the 20th of July of 2014, the Civil Chambers Specialized in Land Restitution of the Courts of Antioquia, Bogotá, Cali, Cartagena and Cúcuta issued 82 judgments resolving the controversies over land restitution claims with “opositores”. Most of the cases resulted in unfavorable judgments against them. Many of the “opositores”, together with their families, neighbors and friends, have done all they can to express their dissatisfaction with this proceedings in order to avoid been affected by the judicial decisions. The purpose of this article is to provide a complete and accurate picture of the Courts’ judgments delivered in cases concerning land restitution with “opositores”.
