Summary: We are faced with a globalized society in which, thanks in part to technical advances in the world of communications, migratory movements have acquired great quantitative importance. The "international kidnapping o f minors" has become a globalized social phenomenon. It is the mediation a suitable mechanism to solve this type of international family conflicts. The fulfillment of international duties by the States proves to be the factor that makes possible the enjoym ent of the rights that every child should have. There are normative projects that try to eradicate the problem of international abduction of minors. Among them, international family mediation as a mechanism for the protection of the best interest of the ch ild is emphasized.
